The idea was the brainchild of Willie R. Mickell, Jr., who, after completing his degree in Communication and working as an event planner for organizations on his college campus, found that he had a knack for planning events and getting the word out. He decided that this was a service he wanted to provide for businesses that may not be able to afford to pay what some large corporations can for planning and promotions services. Some events that Mr. Mickell promoted at Northern Illinois University Convocation Center as a graduate assistant while pursuing his Sport Management Master’s Degree Include: Dave Chappelle, Kanye West, Larry the Cable Guy, Monster Truck Show, and a variety of different banquets and events for Northern Illinois University Athletics such as basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and cheerleading camps.

WorthyOne's services are unique because we work with our clients to assess their needs, create a strategic timeline for planning, determine a set of realistic goals, design and develop materials that work, and evaluate and revise as necessary. We also partner with other service providers, such as web designers, caterers, marketers, and printers, to provide our clients with quality services at affordable prices.
